This Independence Day became especially meaningful for me as I had the privilege of attending the Independence Day celebration at Vikas Vishranti Trust, organised by the Rotary Club of Green Greater Noida.

The occasion brought together the spirit of patriotism, community service and the belief that every child deserves an opportunity to learn, grow and build a better future.

🇮🇳 Saluting the Tricolour

The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag. Standing before the Tricolour and paying respect to the national flag was a deeply proud and emotional moment.

The Tiranga represents the courage and sacrifices of the countless freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to India's independence. It also represents our collective responsibility to ensure that the freedom they fought for translates into opportunity, dignity, education and progress for every citizen.

Celebrating Independence Day in the presence of children made the occasion even more special. Their enthusiasm, innocence and dreams were a powerful reminder that the future of India rests in the hands of today's young generation.

❤️ Vikas Vishranti Trust: Creating Opportunities Through Education

The Vikas Vishranti Trust is doing commendable work for children who need support, care and access to education.

The organisation is taking responsibility for approximately 800 children, ensuring that their educational and essential needs are looked after with care, commitment and compassion.

Such initiatives go far beyond charity. They are an investment in the future.

When a child receives education, encouragement and the right opportunities, it can transform the direction of an entire life. Every book, every lesson and every act of support can become a stepping stone towards a brighter future.

During the Independence Day celebration, I had the opportunity to distribute Frooti, wafers, books, pens and other useful items among the children.

The happiness on their faces was truly priceless.

Their smiles and excitement brought a deep sense of peace and personal fulfilment. Moments like these remind us that meaningful service does not always require extraordinary resources. Sometimes, a small gesture of kindness can bring immense happiness to someone who needs it.

Most importantly, giving a child a book is not simply giving them an object.
