On the historic occasion of the Trishatabdi Smriti Abhiyan (300th Birth Anniversary Campaign) of Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar, a grand symposium was held on May 27th, 2025 at G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida. The event brought together thought leaders, cultural icons, political dignitaries, and dedicated members of the Bharatiya Janata Party to honour the timeless legacy of a queen whose governance, vision, and devotion continue to inspire generations.
The Chief Guest for this prestigious event was Smt. Smriti Irani Ji, former Union Minister, Government of India, whose presence elevated the spirit of the gathering. With her powerful words and passionate reflections on Ahilyabai Holkar's unparalleled leadership and feminine strength, she reminded us all of the queen's deep compassion, administrative wisdom, and unwavering dharma.
Ahilyabai Holkar, the legendary ruler of the Malwa kingdom, is celebrated not merely for being a queen but for being a just, visionary, and people-centric leader who transformed her era. Under her reign, roads, forts, ghats, and temples flourished. Her governance reflected an amalgamation of strength and benevolence, intellect and spirituality.
On this special day, the audience had the honour to listen and interact with many prominent leaders and dignitaries:
Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Former Union Minister
Shri Satyendra Sisodiya Ji, Regional President, BJP
Shri Abhishek Sharma Ji, District President, BJP, Gautam Buddh Nagar
Shri Amit Chaudhary Ji, District Panchayat President
Shri Chand Sharma Ji, MLC, Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council
Their words highlighted Ahilyabai's unmatched devotion towards public welfare, women empowerment, and cultural preservation. These leaders reaffirmed their collective commitment to carrying forward her values in modern governance.
Advocate Sushil Bhati, Senior Advocate, Former Bar Association President of Gautam Buddh Nagar and BJP Karyakarta, was also present at the event. Speaking on the occasion, he shared his deep respect for Ahilyabai Holkar and called upon every citizen—especially youth and professionals—to embody her ideals of justice, humility, and social service. He emphasized the need to ensure women’s safety and empowerment in all spheres of life and how Ahilyabai's life serves as the eternal light guiding that path.
This gathering was not merely ceremonial—it was a call to action. Inspired by the life of Ahilyabai Holkar, the event served as a solemn reminder that India’s strength lies not just in its past glory but in the values that continue to shape its future. From temples to schools, from dharmashalas to infrastructure, Ahilyabai’s reign sowed the seeds of inclusive development—centuries before the term came into popular usage.
The symposium ended with a collective resolution by all present to uphold the legacy of this divine ruler in their own ways—through public service, cultural initiatives, educational outreach, and above all, by upholding dignity and justice in every walk of life.
In the presence of thousands of enthusiastic citizens, scholars, and social leaders, the Trishatabdi Smriti Abhiyan not only paid tribute to a glorious legacy but also infused the spirit of nationalism, duty, and unity. As the tricolour fluttered in the sky, it echoed one profound message:
“Let us walk the path Ahilyabai Holkar once paved—with integrity in our hearts and service in our souls.”
Jai Bharat!
Jai Devi Ahilyabai!
