India’s civilisational strength has always rested on its ability to preserve spiritual wisdom while bringing people together through the values of equality, compassion, service and social harmony. The 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji provides a meaningful opportunity to remember these timeless ideals and strengthen the spirit of social unity.
Today, I had the privilege of participating in the Kalash Vandan Yatra organised at Village Palla, Dadri Dehat Mandal, on the sacred occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji.
A Sacred Occasion of Faith and Social Harmony
The Kalash Vandan Yatra was not merely a religious programme; it was a beautiful expression of faith, devotion, community participation and social harmony.
The participation of saints, women, senior members of society, office bearers and dedicated party workers reflected the collective spirit of the community. Such occasions remind us that our cultural traditions have the power to bring people together and strengthen the bonds of mutual respect.
Guru Ravidas Ji devoted his life to spreading the message of equality, humanity, devotion and dignity for every individual. His teachings continue to inspire society to rise above discrimination and work towards a more harmonious and inclusive social order.
Guru Ravidas Ji’s Message and Sanatan Tradition
The teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji beautifully reflect the inclusive and spiritually rich traditions of Sanatan Dharma. Sanatan values have always emphasised seva, compassion, truth, dignity, harmony and respect for every human being.
His message of social equality is particularly relevant today. A strong society is one where every individual feels respected, valued and connected to the larger social and cultural fabric.
Remembering Guru Ravidas Ji is therefore not only about remembering a great saint; it is also about reconnecting with the timeless values of Indian civilisation.
“Equality in society, harmony in thought and humanity in action.”
These values can help build a stronger, more united and compassionate society.
Participation of Senior Leaders and Workers
The programme was graced by the presence of Shri Shrichand Sharma Ji, MLC and Teacher Constituency MLA, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Vijay Bhati Ji, former District President, as the Special Guest.
The event also witnessed the dedicated participation of several organisational functionaries and workers, including:
Shri Mukesh Chauhan Ji – Mandal In-charge
Shri Bhikari Singh Ji – Mandal President

Shri Ramendra Singh Bhati Ji – General Secretary, Dadri Dehat Mandal & Convenor
Shri Naresh Kaushik Ji – Co-Convenor

Their collective efforts and participation contributed to the successful organisation of this spiritually significant programme.

Strengthening the Spirit of Samrasta
Social harmony—or Samrasta—is essential for the progress of any society. Differences in background, profession or circumstances should never become barriers to mutual respect and unity.
